Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. In that role, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise in space travel. As the daughter of two NASA astronauts Kristin grew up in the field of space and has spent the last five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Space Policy of the Administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. During that time she also covered two impeachment trials for the president, the 2020 presdiential campaign, and two administration's attempts to control the coronavirus pandemic. The reporter also traveled extensively with the Vice President and President of the United States and was a part of a classified visit to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before being hired by the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as an CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin is also adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentaries, for companies such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors in Science in journalism from Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., along with her family members, including their 3-year-old daughter.
